A shake up of HGV trailer towing in agriculture. The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) are giving a clear message of compliance to farmers towing HGV trailers. Compling with regulations isn't an option, these trailers must meet the required maintenance standard and inspection throughout their working life.

Former haulage trailers will have been plated and tested and will still need to be tested as an HGV despite now being used for agricultural purposes. If a dolly is being used to connect the trailer, both the trailer & dolly may require a test.
